My family of 6 started our vacation with the 2 day trip on the Pacuare River on April 23, 2010. None of us had prior rafting experience and Christian was very helpful in making us feel at ease and made our first time rafting a wonderful experience. Our night at the lodge was so peaceful and our day hike with Andrea was very informative. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. While there we even tried the zip line which was also much fun.
We would definitely do this again and would highly recommend this trip to all our friends.

I'm back home safe and rested and have a chance to reflect on my trip. I am compelled to write to you to tell you how awesome everyone in your company is, including you . Rio Tropicales took such good care of us, was always on time, had great equipment, was safe and most importantly the most friendly and competent people - each and every person. I spent a lot of time with Johnny and Diego and they were fantastic. They were hard working pleasant and always concerned that we were doing good. I still giggle when I think of the number of times Johnny would sincerely look at my wife and ask, "Are you happy?" She always was.
The experiences that you lined us up with were far greater than we hoped for. Camping on a private beach, White Water Rafting to your Lodge, the Lodge itself, the Mountain Paradise Resort were all way beyond my expectations. The logistics getting us from one place to the next was exceptional as well.

In December 2009 we visited Costa Rica for our honeymoon. As part as our trip we booked the 4 day rafting Rio Pacuare trip (15-18.12.2008).
We honestly have to say that these 4 days were the best holiday experience ever and we still think back with very fond memory. We especially want to thank our two guides for the four days - Christian and Jonathan. They took unbelievable care that we enjoyed our stay and we were amazed by their massive knowledge about the wildlife and the country. We always felt save - even at the trickier parts of the journey when my husband went for a dip in a rapide -Â and their enthusiasm just caught us.
We are already planning to come back as soon as possible and bring some of our friends but it might be possible only in the next year.
Please, if possible, extend our thanks to Christian and Jonathan and we hope to see them again on our next trip.
We would like to congratulate you to such dedicated and professional staff as we experienced all over these 4 days.

Lots to review, lots of variety, and will give us memories forever of this part of our cruise. Your guides could not have been more accomodating especially since we were 4 60ish year old people, who needed allot of support. This was truely an adventure for us that we will always remember. In fact I think it was our best adventure of the cruise. Also the meal you provided was very nice and in a location that made it even better. Right now it's about 7c degrees outside and we probably will see snow flurries over the next few days. Your guides, Josh, Christian, Bernie, and Fernando are outstanding! We were especially impressed that, after a day of rafting down the river, their work continued and they prepared and provided delicious meals. Also, Christian and Josh, with their knowledge of the flora and fauna, were very informative.

My name is Brian Carnahan. My wife & I, Amy, recently spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica, part of which included a jungle kayaking trip to Mawamba Lodge for 2 nights--November 2nd and 3rd. We were the only guests for the kayaking trip and our guides were Verny & Ronald. The reason for contacting you is because we were absolutely impressed with the tour and with our guides. Verny & Ronald were extremely knowledgable and accomodating. Their spoken English was excellent and we never doubted their sincerity. When we return to Costa Rica, we will definetely include another tour with Rios Tropicales--requesting of course to have Ronald & Verny as guides. Please give both of these gentlemen a well-deserved bonus. They made our trip unforgetable.

| "We took a two-day trip on the Rio Pacuare on March 5-6, 2007, and it was absolutely great! The guides were professional and calm at the same time. The lodge was beautiful and relaxing. We were very impressed with how hard the guides worked, both on and off the river. Jorge did a superb job as the primary guide. He made sure that we got to do the zip line as we had requested. Everyone who participated enjoyed it. He and the others also provided us with fine meals, given that everything had to be brought in to the middle of the forest by raft. Fabian was our raft captain and he also made sure that the trip was safe and exciting at the same time. A gentleman who had kayaked in many rivers throughout the world was on the trip, and he said it was the best he had ever experienced. Once again, thanx for a great experience!

The company you set us up with (Rios Tropicales) was SUPERB... their guides and staff were incredible as well as their river lodge... in fact.. when we were on the river, we came around the corner and saw the river lodge... all 4 of us in the raft made the comment ... The guides that accompanied us were fantastic. I believe their names were Rafael Gallo, Ronald, Alejandro, and Sergio Peru. I was struck by their professionalism as well as their knowledge of the country. I always felt safe with them, and recognized that they all took their jobs very seriously. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Rios Tropicales while in Costa Rica with the Carnival Legend cruise ship. It was our first time rafting and we had such a fantastic time! Diego was our guide and he was very kind and patient. I was nervous about the rapids but he put me at ease. Jose was our guide on our bus ride to and from the river and he was funny and full of great information about Costa Rica and rafting. Lastly, we purchased the photo CD and we are so excited about the many great pictures that Greg took during our rafting trip. He is clearly quite the photographer and we can't wait to share his amazing photos with family and friends.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank your staff for providing my
husband and me with a great adventure. We were part of an excursion from the Celebrity Zenith. My husband had
been white water rafting several times before, but this was my first
time. Our guide, Alejandro, who looks a bit like the singer, Luis
Miguel, was thoroughly professional, yet he made sure we had great fun!
Most of the six of us on our raft were first-timers, so he maneuvered us
carefully through the rapids we could handle, without flipping over!
With that said, the ride was still exciting to my husband, who has
rafted on Class V rapids up in The Forks in the state of Maine, here in
the U.S.
We'd also like to say that we are very happy to have purchased the photo
CD of shots taken by Harry that day. Harry did a fine job of catching a
lot of the action from our ride down Reventazon-Florida! The photos
help us relive the excitement of the day and even the tension when the
Kayak safety guide was knocked out of his vessel.
I can't remember the name of the guide on our bus ride from Limon, but
he was an informative tour guide too.
