Explore Tortuguero National Park and its canals by boat and then raft the Pacuare River, one of Costa Rica’s most famous and beautiful rivers. Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguero and our award-winning Rios Tropicales Lodge teamed up for this incredible five-day trip to two of our country’s most iconic locations.
Tortuguero National Park and its canals offer one of the richest biodiverse areas in Costa Rica. From the Mawamba Lodge, you’ll boat deep into the national park, where you’ll be surrounded by wildlife on all sides! Caiman, a variety of birds, monkeys, turtles, emerald basilisks and more await you. There are other tour options available, including night-time tours of nearby turtle nesting grounds and rainforest hikes.
After Tortuguero, you’ll head deep into the primary rainforest and the Pacuare Gorge by river! A half day of rafting takes you right to the riverside Rios Tropicales Lodge, our award-winning ecolodge. You’ll have a full day and two nights to enjoy all the incredible activities on our 2,470-acre private reserve, including a canopy tour (Additional cost), adventure loop (Additional Cost) and numerous trails to waterfalls and soaking pools.
